Hi, I'm Quintin LaFoe,

I grew up on the outskirts of Rochester, New York. I was immersed in lush scenery, antiques, and music. It’s no surprise I found my way to analog cameras: tools that honor memories, and moments we sometimes don’t understand until they’ve passed. My interest began with the tangible feeling I got from my childhood photos, prompting me to borrow my mother’s old camera, and the realization that with those first photos I took, I finally could truly take in the moment.

 

I pass by nature, I pass by people, noticing little inflections that make things special, things that make us look closer. My work aims to honor the vibrant details I get to witness within the swaths of our existence. A vivacious woman at peace with herself, the quiet story inside a man’s furrowed brow, the wonder of children experiencing the world new. There is a vibrancy in all of it.

The fee for portrait sessions which will deliver a minimum of 10 Medium Format photos, including all film, developing, and scanning, starts at $350.00 per hour, with a 50% downpayment due at booking.
